A tooth's root canal system is rarely a single straight channel — most teeth have multiple canals, and many contain fins, curves or side branches that are invisible without magnification. A conventional root canal, done with the naked eye, can miss these — leaving behind infected tissue that causes the treatment to fail months or years later.

Working under up to 24x magnification, your dentist can see canal openings, hairline cracks and calcified canals directly, rather than guessing from an X-ray alone. The area is fully numbed — most patients feel pressure at most, not pain, during the procedure.

Access & Canal Cleaning

Under magnification, the infected pulp is removed and each canal is cleaned and shaped to remove all bacteria.

Disinfection & Obturation

Canals are thoroughly disinfected, then filled and sealed with a biocompatible material to prevent reinfection.

Restoration

The tooth is sealed with a filling or crown to restore full function and protect it long-term.
